or most of it. We'll maybe do something similar east of the Mississippi in the future. We traveled without much of a plan last summer and that created some issues so this year, WE HAVE A PLAN!
I've got the Minnie all polished up and ready to go.
We're taking the bikes so we have something other than our feet to run to a nearby destination.
I've changed the front licence plate to the "flying C" of my alma mater Central Michigan University.
Not that CMU is all that big a deal to me, but the former owner had a Winnebago club plate on there that meant nothing to me. So I'll play the CMU ambassador for the next couple months. Even got new screws to attach it.
My last upgrade for the trip is an indoor/outdoor temperature readout...because that's what seniors do, watch the weather.
I really miss the outside temperature readout that appears on the instrument panel of new cars. This is a 1999 vehicle so it doesn't have that advanced technology. Actually, the photo shows our cassette tape radio. Talk about advanced technology! Well, it does have AM and FM bands.
I tucked the outside sensor in the U channel of the awning.
One screw holds it in place. It should be protected enough for highway travel. I'm not sure how weather proof that thing is. I imagine I'll learn that soon enough.
So Kathy finishes the provisioning tomorrow while I wait for the garbage man to take away the trash. Then we're northbound to begin the adventure.
