We woke up to storms, lots of rain and a brief power outage. So the choice was move on to drier accommodations or sit in the wet woods. We had seen all the sights yesterday.
Easy enough choice. We got our last day refunded at Kakabeka and headed out on wet roads toward our next planned destination...Bemidji, Minnesota USA.
We travel through miles and miles of NW Ontario woodlands.
Somewhere along the way, we crossed from the Atlantic watershed...
..to the Arctic watershed.
Apparently, Canada has its share of vandals to deface signs too.
As we approach our border crossing at International Falls, MN, we notice some significant color change in the trees.
After entering the USA, we travel SW toward Bemidji and our destination the KOA there.
It's not too busy at the moment. The lady at check-in said Monday and Tuesday were their slow days...You think?
We have a nice site with FULL amenities. Electric...water...sewer...Wifi...cable TV!!!
That's why we left the rainy north. We needed a day to provision and do some laundry and catch up on the news. I see Trump is still in the news...imagine that. Canadians didn't seem to care too much about any of the happenings in Washington. They have their own issues. We also are hearing more about the smoke from the western fires here. It is affecting the weather here in Minnesota.
So we'll spend another day in Bemidji and spend tomorrow running errands and doing chores.
