Welcome

Welcome.

I created this blog to document the sights of our boating season
for our family and friends to follow.

Enjoy the tour.

Well, in a way, the 2013 season started today...it was a Good Friday.  I ventured over to the storage facility in Ludington and put the final coat of paste wax of the hull sides and installed a block on the transom to mount the transducer.  This will allow some transducer adjustment, if necessary, while the boat is in the water (provided the water is warm enough for a swim).

I drove down to the marina and walked out to the slip.  The marina isn't quite ready to accept boats yet but the day is coming.  The marina opens for the season in 2 weeks.

Just a skim of ice left in my slip.

The marina entrance and fairway is ice free.

There's a little more thawing that needs to occur, but it's definately beginning to look like spring.

4 weeks to launch.

It's still cold. There's still snow on the ground.  The slip is ice covered.

I did download the Caribbean cruise slide show onto youtube.
Find it here:

Launch in 7 weeks.

March is here.  Snow is falling, as are the temperatures.  Ugh!!!

That's my slip, under the snow and ice at the end of the dock.

8 weeks to 2013 launch.
