Day 28

We're still stationary.  Kathy finished up the laundry this morning and we're both trying to recover from colds.  I'm definitely on the mend, Kathy is getting through it.

I went down to the beach last night to get a view of the sunset.

Who knew?  Our view of the ocean isn't a westerly view.  The sun sets behind the point.

There is bits and pieces of all kinds of stuff littered across the beach every day.

Much of it is crab that the gulls pick at and insects finish off.

The beach has a distinct odor of the scattered "seafood".

I climbed out a little way on the rocky shore south of the campground.

I got so far then decided the trail wasn't suitable for flip-flops or a rising tide and turned around.

The surf has built a little all day.

Looks a lot like a Great Lakes view.

We've had a nice relaxing couple days here enjoying the beach, catching up on chores and taking care of our colds.

Tomorrow we're headed south a few more hours and will enter California.
