This will be brief.
It was a relatively direct route today to Roswell, New Mexico. We'd be covering about 260 miles.
We were up early and headed toward Albuquerque with the rest of the working class.
It slowed some as we got into the city but were soon outbound and the traffic cleared as we traveled through the hills east of the city.
It wasn't long and the scene changed back to nothingness.
It looked like that for the next three hours or so.
So we arrived in Roswell and stopped in town to see what was in store for the alien interested tourist. The answer is almost nothing so I wouldn't bother with putting this place on any travel itinerary. It was a waste of time to drive here.
The bad news is that I lost a wheel cover somewhere in New Mexico. I'm sure matching up a 19 year old specialty RV wheel cover will be easy enough. Unfortunately, I see a new set of four in my future.
The good news is that we've put the rain behind us. Of course, sun means heat so maybe a double edged sword.
Tomorrow we're going down to the Carlsbad Caverns to check that out. Hope that has a bit more to offer than we found today.
