Here we are in Arizona where people come to enjoy the sun and warmth. Unfortunately, we have a date with the remnants of Hurricane Rosa. Timing is everything.
So what to do on a cloudy, drizzly, rainy Arizona day?
Well after a load of laundry and a couple chores, I talked Kathy into a field trip to, guess where?
Yup, there's a quilt shop here. I had to actually insist that we visit this place. I think Kathy is ill. I mean, 3000 bolts of fabric, 700 of them batiks, and it's a top 10 shop according to Quilt Sampler Magazine. Fasten your seat belt...we're going. Because we had to unhook and drive the RV here, she didn't want to bother. Unplug, remove the hose and pull the TV cable and we're gone. It's not a big deal to me. What a guy!
So after a grueling 3.1 mile drive, I let her out to do her damage.
Within seconds, she had an armful. It's sew Sedona.
Just like every other quilt shop, lots of cloth.
Kathy found a bunch of hard to find material that is liked in the midwest but not so much out here and bought some. She had to share this treasure find with her quilting friend, Val back in Michigan. Seems Val now has a package in the mail. Bet her husband will be sending Kathy a thank you card for providing that tip.
As you can see, we didn't accomplish much today. Chores, material and a little route planning filled our day.
Tomorrow we're headed east and will take a couple days to get to Roswell, NM.
