Got up early this morning to a calm harbor. The marine forecast called for 2'-4' seas and looking at the weather buoy data, the forecast was accurate.
But how bad could it be 100 yards from a dead calm harbor?
Does this answer the question?
That's the view of the world this morning from a Ludington troller...or a sailboater on a port tack.
Correcting for wave effect, we trolled with the waves for a few miles as the sun peeked over the bluff.
We managed to coax one to the cooler this morning and had another that ran from the boat until it shook loose. So, not too bad in crummy conditions for maybe 90 minutes of effort.
Back at the marina, it remains calm and comfortable where we'll kick around for awhile before heading east for the work week. Ugh!
Later.
