Hello 2018!

It's a new year with lots of plans.

The winter was filled with the usual cruise to the Caribbean, this year aboard "Oasis of the Seas".

Following the cruise was what seems to have become my annual illness complete with a trip to the Heart of Florida Medical Center.  It's pretty sad when you go in and the hospital staff recognizes you.

Anyway, it's been a toasty winter here in the land of Mickey Mouse and we're looking forward to the northern trek in the near future.

On the docket this year is a week on beautiful Drummond Island at Papin's Resort.  There, we'll (probably more me than we) be in search of the elusive walleye.  The kids are going as well so maybe they'll teach me how.  We anchored off that resort a couple years ago in the Sea Ray on our way to the North Channel.

After that, we'll chase the walleye again at Mullet Lake and travel north with the Minnie Winnie towing the Crestliner for a 10 day adventure.  It's said there's a good rainbow trout fishery there as well so I'm going prepared to give that fishery a try.

The final scheduled event is what I'm calling the Lap of America in the RV.  We've planned a trip that runs the border of the USA west of the Mississippi River.  We'll wander into the land of the Maple Leaf a couple times and enjoy Canadian hospitality and load up on my beverage of choice...Bacardi Breezers.  That trip should be a test of endurance on many levels.

Between all that activity, I'm going to try to fish when I can on the local waters of Lake St. Clair, Lake Huron and Saginaw Bay.  I've had a year to get the Crestliner rigged so I'm all ready to get after the fish this year.

Lots to do.  Watch for updates in the coming months.
