Well, I'm getting closer...to finishing the dresser, not to launching the boat. The last clear satellite image of northern Lake Michigan still showed several ice "cubes" in the lake from Leland to Mackinac. Lots of rain and wind this week may have taken care of that, so on the next clear day, I'll get another read on the lake conditions and plan from there.
In the meantime, progress on the dresser. Closing in on the final stages.
Construction is complete and finishing is underway with the staining done this weekend.
Need to let this dry for a day or so before applying the first coat of urethane.
Oh my Lord, that cabinet is awesome there Jim!!!! Man you do some really good work. is that Oak or what... we buy all our furniture like that from the AMISH barn in Augres...Are you Amish.. if so I think you're steppin out having engines in that boat, you're suppose to have Oars....you can even make them hahahahah
ReplyDeleteKill them KINGS up there Jim Will you?
Don't like wide brimmed hats and can't grow a beard so the Amish existance doesn't fit well. I tried oars once but Kathy couldn't keep up with the cadence of the drum. Cabinet is red oak with a "gunstock" stain which is the color of an old "mission" stain that was discontinued.
DeleteKings are safe for the time being. Boat is still in hibernation. waiting for the ice to thaw at Leland.
