After enjoying a holiday weekend with a broken boat and...
a paint brush, we traveled back over to the boat this weekend to inspect what we have been told is a repaired boat motor and get things cleaned up for the summer activities.
Friday night after loading up the boat, we walked down to the waterfront and enjoyed the sunset.
Because of the week of south winds, the boat has a "healthy" coating of "ferry dust" (coal soot) on it that needs to be washed off.
While I worked outside, Kathy gave the cabin the annual spring cleaning.
Between the overnight monsoon and the afternoon gales, we had a bit of a calm that I was able to leave the dock and do a few laps on the inland lake here. The early indication is that the motor seems to be running well now. Maybe we've put that little problem to bed now. I can only hope.
